Learner's Permit

Getting your Florida Learner’s Permit is the first step toward becoming a safe, confident, and independent driver. At D&D Driving School, we make the process simple with a state-approved online course you can complete at your own pace — whenever and wherever it works best for you.
Our program is designed for teens, adults, new drivers, and anxious learners who need accessible, supportive instruction.

Who Needs a Learner’s Permit?

- You must obtain a Florida Learner’s Permit if you are:
- A first-time driver who has never held a license in any U.S. state or another country
- A teen (15–17) applying for your first permit
- A new resident who does not have a current, valid driver’s license from another jurisdiction
- To qualify, all first-time drivers must complete the required state-approved course before taking the Class E Knowledge Exam.
